| The street is in a central part of a town near public and commercial objects. The vision of architects is called „Greeting“. The esence of it is a merge of two origins: the urban and the natural in all of the layers. The idea would acomplish the slogan „in the rythm of nature“.
The alley, which lasts for a quarter of a kilometer, in the middle of the street begins to naturalize – the strict lines and composition soften, the concrete slabs become smaller, the greenery increases. At the courthouse, the parking lot gives way to a natural area with an irregular network of paths, cozy shelters and outdoor cafes. With the help of greenery and paths, the alley is harmoniously connected with the park of legends, which is located outside the courthouse.
The architects chose the naturalistic orientation, or “Dutch wave”, which is now widespread in the world, for the type of greenery. Thus, in the greenery part, the green islands are not left for shrubs and lawns, but for 20a for covering grasses.
The city moves into the park; plantations from classical planting with large masses of different plants, designed closer to the municipality, move to the meadow type or “scatering plants” closer to the park. It is such a design method, when flowering plants are thrown between the bends, interpreting the vegetation of the natural meadow, choosing seasonal and structural, repetitive plants.
I envisioned plants that could also grow in moisture-evaporating soil, although an irrigation system is envisaged in the project. |
